One of my students, Ethan, is an incredibly gifted young artist and musician. I originally shared his work because I was blown away by his artistic talent — and honestly, I still am.
It has been such a joy watching him grow, not only in piano and music, but as a creative person. His artwork is incredible, and I’m so proud of the dedication and creativity he brings to everything he does.

I’m so proud of my beautiful student Nedy and everything she continues to accomplish as an artist. Nedy is a singer-songwriter and recording artist who has released original music and accompanying music videos, including her single “Made to Be.”
It’s always exciting to watch a student take what we work on in lessons and bring it into their own artistry, recordings and performances. ❤️

Don’t let her size fool you! ❤️ At just six years old, this little powerhouse was already singing, writing songs and learning piano.
She always went above and beyond, bringing so much imagination, enthusiasm and creativity into her lessons. Watching that kind of confidence and love for music develop at such a young age is one of the sweetest parts of what I get to do.

Naomi made this little piano for me as a way of showing her love and appreciation, and it absolutely made my day.
It was such a thoughtful and creative gift that I wanted to share it. These are the kinds of moments that remind me why I love teaching so much. Helping students grow musically is incredibly rewarding, but the relationships we build along the way mean just as much to me.

A STUDENT STORY CLOSE TO MY HEART
MALEAH & THE BERG FAMILY
Over the years, teaching has brought some truly special people into my life, and the Berg family is one of them.
I originally shared Maleah’s story during an incredibly difficult chapter in her life, when her family and friends were raising funds to help with her medical care. At the time, Maleah had been forced to step away from so many of the things she loved, including singing and dancing.
But what I remember most about Maleah and her family is their incredible heart. Before facing their own challenges, the Bergs had already spent so much of their time helping others — volunteering in their community and supporting organizations serving children and families.
Maleah herself is a beautiful creative spirit. She sings, dances, and even taught Irish dance to children. Having the opportunity to work with her is something I will always be grateful for.
This story was originally shared to support Maleah and her family during that time. While I am no longer linking to the original fundraiser, I wanted to keep this here because the students and families I’ve met through teaching have become an important part of my own story, too. ❤️
